Microsoft has taken an innovative step to enhance Windows 11 users’ daily text editing experiences. The Notepad application now includes the ChatGPT-supported “Rewrite” feature, allowing users to edit their texts in a more convenient way. This feature provides significant ease for users who engage in creative writing or have professional text editing requirements.

The “Rewrite” feature offers users the ability to rewrite, change the tone, or adjust the length of a text. After highlighting a text, users can click the “Rewrite” button to take advantage of this feature. The system offers three different rewriting options for the highlighted text, allowing users to choose the most suitable one for them. This innovation has been made available to all users after being tested through the Windows Insider Program. However, the usage of this feature is restricted.

Microsoft 365 subscribers can use the Rewrite feature by spending 60 AI Credits allocated to their accounts at the beginning of each month. For each rewrite, 1 AI Credit is deducted from the credit balance. Copilot Pro subscribers have unlimited access to artificial intelligence features.
