When will the scrap vehicle incentive come out, will it come out?

Following a proposal submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), the issue of the scrap vehicle incentive that has long been on the agenda of the public was clarified. A statement regarding this issue came from the AK Party. So, when will the scrap vehicle incentive be released, will it be released? The current situation of the scrap vehicle incentive, which aims to renew vehicles aged 25 years and older and bring them into the economy, has become a matter of curiosity. Owners of vehicles from the 2000 model or older wonder if they will have the opportunity to buy a new car produced in Turkey without paying the Special Consumption Tax by scrapping their vehicles. Scrap Vehicle Incentive Will Be Released? The AK Party administration announced that there is no regulation in the agenda that brings a Special Consumption Tax exemption for scrap vehicles. There is also no legislative work by the government on this issue. Scrap Vehicle Incentive Application MHP Kayseri Deputy Ismail Özdemir submitted a bill to the Assembly in recent days and proposed a reduction in Special Consumption Tax for those who scrap their vehicles for the renewal of vehicles aged over 25, on the condition that their new vehicles are produced in Turkey. The scrap vehicle incentive was first implemented in Turkey in 2003. Thus, the removal of vehicles above a certain age from the market was ensured, while the sales of new vehicles increased. This practice ended in 2004. A second scrap incentive was initiated from October 4, 2010, to December 31, 2011. Unlike the first incentive, the type of motor vehicle was restricted here, and vehicles with a weight exceeding 3.5 tons were included in the scope of both cargo and passenger vehicles.
