The Bank will announce the interest rate decision at the 2nd MPC meeting of this year on March 6, 2025. WHAT WAS THE INTEREST RATE DECISION IN JANUARY? The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank announced the first interest rate decision of the year on January 23, 2025. Accordingly, the MPC reduced the policy rate, which is the one-week repo auction interest rate, by 250 basis points to 45 percent. CENTRAL BANK 2025 MEETING CALENDAR The third meeting of the year will be held on April 17, with no meeting in May. The meetings are scheduled for June 19 and July 24. There will be no meeting in August. After the meetings on September 11 and October 23, there will be no meeting in November. The last meeting of the year will be held on December 11, 2025.
