The estimates indicated that the Fed continues to predict 2 interest rate cuts in 2025.The Bank’s inflation forecasts increased from 2.5 percent to 2.7 percent for this year and from 2.1 percent to 2.2 percent for 2026, while remaining at 2 percent for 2027. The estimates for core inflation, which excludes volatile energy and food prices, were revised from 2.5 percent to 2.8 percent for this year, while remaining at 2.2 percent for 2026 and 2 percent for 2027. The growth forecast for the US economy was reduced from 2.1 percent to 1.7 percent for this year, from 2 percent to 1.8 percent for next year, and from 1.9 percent to 1.8 percent for 2027.
