Bendevi Palandöken, the President of TESK, highlighted the increase in underground products before the Ramadan month. Palandöken called on citizens to be careful against unhealthy products produced in inappropriate conditions. The President of the Turkish Confederation of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK), Bendevi Palandöken, issued a warning about underground production to citizens before the Ramadan month. Palandöken stated, “With inflation, underground production has also increased. Therefore, we need to pay close attention to the food we eat.” Pointing out an increase in underground production due to inflationary pressures, Palandöken urged caution, especially towards pirate vendors. Palandöken said, “These pirate vendors who disregard human health are either opening stands or selling baklava and desserts from the back of their cars. Of course, law enforcement or local governments may monitor them, but citizens should not support them.” Recommending that citizens shop from reliable places, Palandöken said, “Shopping from trustworthy shopkeepers they know is the most important precaution to protect themselves and their families against those playing games with food. Be careful not to jeopardize your health.”
