Unions will convey their wage demands for over 600 thousand public sector workers to the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, tomorrow. Turk-Is and Hak-Is will sit at the table together just like last year. The two confederations have determined their demands on various issues related to labor rights, including the wage rate. They will present their expectations to Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan tomorrow. Afterwards, Işıkhan will request a proposal from the employer side, TÜHİS, after receiving the workers’ demands. The Ministry will then announce a schedule and official negotiations will begin. The wage rate for workers in public institutions and organizations such as highways, railways, power plants, ministries, universities, and hospitals will be clarified.
