OpenAI is planning to integrate an AI-powered video creation tool named Sora into ChatGPT. If this project is realized, users will be able to create cinematic videos directly through the chatbot. According to Maxwell Zeff’s report, senior officials of the company confirmed the project in a meeting with Discord employees. OpenAI’s Sora Product Leader Rohan Sahai expressed their intention to make video creation tools more accessible in the future by integrating them into more platforms. He mentioned that they are working on making Sora accessible within ChatGPT, but the release date is not specified yet.
Currently, ChatGPT can generate images based on verbal commands with the help of OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 model. With the integration of Sora, it is predicted that the images produced by the chatbot, aside from video creation, will become much more photorealistic, advancing the platform to a new level.
