Turkish VTOL UAVs on Display in the USA

Turkey’s Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) UAVs, ALPIN and DUMRUL, are being showcased in the USA. These unmanned helicopters will be on display at VERTICON 2025 in Dallas, one of the world’s largest expos. The event aims to bring together professionals and innovations in vertical aviation, including advanced air mobility, unmanned aerial systems, and electric VTOL vehicles. Over 15,000 industry professionals and 600 participating companies are expected to attend VERTICON, focusing on cargo and logistics solutions to meet the industry’s needs. The manufacturer will present models of DUMRUL and ALPIN at the expo.

DUMRUL, a quiet helicopter powered by an electric motor, has a takeoff weight of 17-18 kilograms and can stay in the air for up to 30 minutes. Designed for short-range surveillance, DUMRUL can effectively neutralize targets with its mounted weapon systems and integrated imaging capabilities. This aircraft, developed according to user needs, is designed for effective weapon use in short-range operations. DUMRUL is getting ready for its first mission.

The unmanned helicopter ALPIN can stay in the air for up to 9 hours thanks to its expanded fuel tank. With a payload capacity exceeding 200 kilograms, ALPIN enables safe transport of various equipment and materials in military and civilian operations. With fully autonomous takeoff and landing capabilities, the helicopter can fly on pre-determined routes to fulfill programmed missions. ALPIN has entered the inventory of the security forces as Turkey’s first indigenous UAV.
