Turkish Lira’s real value decreased after 5 months

A moderate decline was observed in the real value of the Turkish Lira in February after 5 months. The real effective exchange rate index decreased by 0.34 points in February, reaching 74.96.
According to the preliminary data published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the real effective exchange rate index based on the CPI decreased by 0.34 points last month compared to the previous month, reaching 74.96. The index was at 75.30 in January 2025.
During this period, the real effective exchange rate index based on the PPI decreased by 0.71 points, falling from 99.01 to 98.30. The value of the Turkish Lira increased by 12.01 points based on the CPI and 7.45 points based on the PPI compared to the same period last year.
