Turkish Lira Recommendation from Morgan Stanley

According to Morgan Stanley, the Turkish Lira is predicted to be one of the best-performing currencies this year. The US investment bank Morgan Stanley released its “2025 Exchange Rate Forecast Update” report. The report highlighted that despite the previous year’s predictions of three interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve (Fed) in 2025, it is now anticipated that a rate cut will be sufficient in June. The report also indicated that Asia is expected to continue underperforming in the global emerging markets, while noting that the Turkish Lira remains a highly sought-after asset. It was mentioned in the report that “According to our forecasts, the Turkish Lira will be one of the top-performing currencies in the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEEMEA) region.”
