BREAKING NEWS: A deal has been signed between BOTAŞ and Turkmen gas that will enable Turkmen gas to reach Turkey. Starting from March 1st, Turkey will begin purchasing natural gas from Turkmenistan.

Breaking news! Turkey will be purchasing natural gas from Turkmenistan. This announcement comes from the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar.

“We have taken a historic step in Turkey-Turkmenistan energy cooperation. We have signed an agreement between BOTAŞ and Turkmen gas to ensure the arrival of Turkmen gas to our country,” said Alparslan Bayraktar, revealing that gas flow is scheduled to start from March 1st, 2025, as part of the agreement. Bayraktar stated, “With this agreement that we have been working on for many years, we will strengthen our country’s and region’s natural gas supply security, while advancing the strategic cooperation between the two countries.”
