Treasury Incurs Debt of 102 Billion Lira

The Treasury incurred a debt of approximately 102.4 billion lira through two bond auctions. In the two government bond auctions conducted today by the Treasury and Finance Ministry, a borrowing of 102 billion 361.1 million lira was made. The first auction involved the reissue of a 2-year (700-day) maturity, semi-annual coupon payment, fixed-coupon government bond. The simple interest rate in the auction was 34.34%, and the compound interest rate was 37.28%. The nominal tender reached 78 billion 274.5 million lira, while the nominal sale was 34 billion 515 million lira, with a net sale of 34 billion 527.1 million lira. The entire 4 billion 40 million lira offer from the public was met, while market makers submitted bids worth 44 billion 597 million lira, with a sales of 20 billion lira to this segment. In the second auction, the first issue of a 4-year (1456-day) maturity, quarterly coupon payment government bond indexed to TLREF was conducted. The nominal tender reached 52 billion 389 million lira, while the nominal sale was 30 billion 269 million lira, with a net sale of 29 billion 794 million lira. The entire offer of 6 billion 500 million lira from the public was met, while market makers submitted bids worth 15 billion 585.5 million lira, with a sales of 7 billion 500 million lira to this segment. Thus, the Treasury borrowed a total of 102 billion 361.1 million lira in these two auctions.
