The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is present in the field to combat exorbitant prices. Teams are inspecting ticket prices before the holidays.
According to the information obtained, 135 procedures concerning exorbitant prices were carried out between March 10-13. 389 agencies and 5,232 buses were inspected. Companies determine the fees in practice. However, they cannot change these figures for four months after notifying the ministry.

Teams in the field checked whether tickets were being issued above these fees. A penalty of 8,173 Turkish Lira was imposed on those applying exorbitant prices. Officials mentioned that companies charging exorbitant prices can be complained about through the CİMER system, and the ministry carefully examines these complaints, takes the defense of companies, and applies penalties.
