The Competition Authority imposed an administrative fine of 31.4 million lira through a settlement agreement with three companies operating in the cosmetic sector. According to the announcement on the Competition Authority’s website, the investigation into the economic unity formed by Biota Botanical Drug and Cosmetic Laboratories Inc., Derma Cos Pharmaceutical Medical and Cosmetic Industry and Trade Inc., and Derma-Cos Cosmetic Industry Trade Import and Export Limited Company concluded with the allegation that they violated the Law on Protection of Competition by determining the resale prices of sellers. As a result, an administrative fine of 31,395,634 lira was decided to be imposed on this economic unity as part of the settlement request.
