Temperature Records Broken in 13 Provinces and 17 Districts

In Turkey, temperature records for the month of March have been broken in 13 provinces and 17 districts compared to seasonal averages. According to data from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change’s General Directorate of Meteorology, a warm weather wave on March 15-16 led to summer-like days nationwide. The average temperature measured on 16 days this month was 10.2 degrees Celsius, exceeding seasonal norms by 2.5 degrees. When compared to the seasonal averages for March, temperature records were broken in 13 provinces and 17 districts across Turkey.
