All boats headed out to sea to catch the plentiful garfish. President of the Samsun Fisheries Cooperative, Atıf Malkoç, stated, “We are experiencing the most abundant garfish season in recent years. Boats from every region of the Black Sea are competing to catch the garfish, which is going through a golden period.” Malkoç expressed that garfish hunting is a source of great joy for the fishermen, saying, “The fishing season is going very well. Our fishermen are pleased with this fertile season.” He also added, “This is the first time we have seen such an abundance of garfish.” Mentioning the unprecedented abundance of garfish, Malkoç used the following words: “Garfish is going through its most abundant period in recent years. Fishermen have been experiencing a garfish abundance for 2 days now.

Boats from all over the Black Sea have descended into the sea. The garfish hunt, which used to start in April, now begins in March. All boats headed for the garfish.
