Surprise at Tekfen Holding: Two founding families sold their shares

Two of the three founders’ families at Tekfen Holding have completed share sales. The transfer of ownership for the Gökyiğit and Akçağlılar families has now closed. These families, who are two out of the three original founders of Tekfen Holding, have carried out share sales. With an annual turnover of 58 billion lira, the company was established by Feyyaz Berker, Nihat Gökyiğit, and Necati Akçağlılar. Akçağlılar and Gökyiğit families have left the company after selling their shares. In an announcement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on March 11th, it was stated that Necati Akçağlılar’s spouse, Cansevil Akçağlılar, sold her shares equivalent to 6.5% ownership to Can Holding. Following this acquisition, Can Holding’s direct and indirect stake in Tekfen rose to 15.5%. Furthermore, it was revealed in a statement from ARY Holding that the Gökyiğit family also conducted a share sale. The acquisition of 100% of Ali Nihat Gökyiğit Investment Holding A.Ş. was announced. As a result, the direct and indirect stake of the Holding in Tekfen increased to 19.86%. Additionally, the heirs of Feyyaz Berker, one of the founders of Tekfen Holding, still hold a 25% share.
