The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week with a 0.10% increase, opening at 9,962 points. The stock market began the week on a positive note. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 10.41 points and 0.10% to reach 9,962.07 points compared to the previous closing. The banking index gained 0.06%, while the holding index increased by 0.29%. Among sector indices, financial leasing factoring gained the most with 2.42%, while the main metal industry lost the most with 0.49%. On the domestic front, Borsa Istanbul followed a buying-focused trend on Friday, with the BIST 100 index closing the day at 9,951.65 points, up by 1.11%. In global markets, there was a mixed performance as concerns over additional US tariffs regained strength, with focus shifting to inflation data to be released in the US this week. Analysts highlighted that technically, the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 10,000 and 10,100 points, with support levels at 9,900 and 9,850.
