The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.13% increase at 9,895.71 points. The stock market began the day in a positive manner. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 9,895.71 points with an increase of 12.92 points and 0.13% compared to the previous closing. The banking sector index gained 0.12%, while the holding sector index increased by 0.22%. Among the sector indices, financial leasing factoring gained the most with 3.98%, while sports lost the most with 0.27%. In the domestic market, BIST 100 index closed the day with a 0.38% increase at 9,882.79 points, following an upward trend yesterday. In the global markets, a mixed trading session was observed with the cautious statements from US President Donald Trump regarding customs duty decisions and Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell’s approach to interest rate cuts. Today, attention is focused on inflation data in the US and the presentation to be made by Fed Chairman Powell. Analysts noted that the domestic data agenda will be calm today, while inflation data in the US and statements from Fed Chairman Powell will be closely monitored internationally. From a technical standpoint, they highlighted that the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,950 and 10,000, while the support levels are at 9,800 and 9,750 points.
