The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 9,829.94 points with a 0.07% decrease. At the opening, the BIST 100 index fell to 9,829.94 points by 6.55 points and 0.07% compared to the previous closing. While the banking index gained 0.04%, the holding index lost 0.03% in value. Among the sector indices, the forestry paper printing gained the most with 0.20%, while sports lost the most with 0.89%. In the domestic market, the BIST 100 index, which followed a sales-weighted trend yesterday, ended the day at 9,836.49 points with a 0.42% loss. Globally, news flow on additional US customs duties continues to be at the center of investors’ attention. Following US President Donald Trump’s actions on trade and economic policies, the country’s important trading partners are continuing to prepare for possible scenarios in the upcoming period. Analysts point out that today, the domestic housing price index and the private sector’s foreign borrowing, as well as the speech of Bank of England (BoE) President Andrew Bailey in the UK, unemployment rate in the UK, and Zew economic confidence index in Germany and the Eurozone will be followed. From a technical perspective, they noted that the support levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,800 and 9,750 points, with resistance levels at 9,900 and 10,000.
