Stock market rose in the first half of the day

In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index rose by 0.85 percent in the first half of the day, reaching 9,604 points.
The BIST 100 index, moving in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 9,604 points with an increase of 80.64 points and 0.85 percent as of 1:00 pm compared to the previous closing. The total trading volume exceeded 40 billion lira. The banking index gained 0.84 percent, while the holding index also increased by 0.64 percent. Among sector indices, construction gained the most with 2.2 percent, while sports was the only sector that suffered losses. In the global markets, selling pressure is evident following the reciprocal tariff announcements made by U.S. President Donald Trump yesterday.
Thanks to the positive inflation data released domestically, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul diverged positively from world stock exchanges and followed a buying-oriented trend in the first half of the day. Analysts mentioned that the data agenda in the afternoon is calm domestically, while the minutes of the European Central Bank (ECB) meeting and the U.S. trade balance as well as weekly jobless claims will be followed internationally.
From a technical standpoint, it was noted that 9,700 and 9,800 points are resistance levels, while 9,500 and 9,600 levels are considered as support for the BIST 100 index.
