In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index remained flat in the first half of the day. As of 13:00, the BIST 100 index decreased by 0.71 points and 0.01 percent to 10,860.12 points compared to the previous closing. The total trading volume was 58.2 billion liras. While the banking index lost 0.96 percent, the holding index gained 0.56 percent. Among the sector indices, construction had the highest increase with 2.83 percent, while forestry, paper, and printing had the biggest decrease with 1.42 percent. In the global markets, despite the challenging pricing due to US President Donald Trump’s protectionist trade approach, the recovery continues after the selling pressure experienced last week. Analysts indicated that the afternoon agenda in the domestic market will be calm, while in the foreign market, a busy data agenda focusing on US industrial production and capacity utilization rate will be followed. From a technical perspective, analysts noted that the support levels in the BIST 100 index are at 10,800 and 10,700, while resistance is at 10,900 and 11,000 points.
