The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 9,444 points with a 0.21% increase. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 20.12 points and 0.21% to 9,444 points compared to the previous closing. The banking index gained 0.12%, while the holding index increased by 0.22%. Following a day of predominantly buying activity in Borsa Istanbul yesterday, the BIST 100 index closed at 9,424 points, gaining 0.45%. Among sector indices, the highest gainer was financial leasing factoring with 2.83%, and the only loser was real estate investment trusts with 0.86%. The positive trend that emerged in global markets due to increased optimism about negotiations following the US decision to postpone trade tariffs is also affecting domestic markets. Analysts mentioned that today, the budget balance domestically and the Zew economic sentiment index in Germany and the Eurozone, as well as the New York Fed manufacturing index in the US, will be closely monitored. Analysts also noted that investors are focusing on the speech by European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde, and from a technical perspective, support levels for the BIST 100 index are seen at 9,400 and 9,300, with resistance levels at 9,600 and 9,700 points.
