Stock market opens with an increase

The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 1.30% increase at 9,774.58 points.
Positive momentum continues in the stock market. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 125.05 points and 1.30% to reach 9,774.58 points compared to the previous closing.
The banking index gained 1.35% and the holding index rose by 1.36%. While all sector indices were on the rise, construction had the highest gain by 1.87%. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which experienced a sales-oriented trend domestically, finished the day with a 0.68% loss at 9,649.53 points. Globally, after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a 25% tariff would be imposed on all cars not produced in the U.S., there was a mixed trend in the markets and all eyes turned to the U.S. growth data to be released today. Furthermore, the President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), Fatih Karahan, stated that they are proactively taking all necessary steps within market rules and will continue to do so, saying, “We are effectively using our tools to ensure the stable functioning of the markets. We keep our two-way communication channels constantly open.” Analysts noted that technically, the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,900 and 10,000, while the support levels are at 9,750 and 9,600 points.
