The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.07% increase at 9,923.44 points. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 9,923.44 points, an increase of 6.55 points and 0.07% from the previous close. While the banking index gained 0.05%, the holding index lost 0.11%. Among the sector indices, mining gained the most with 2.16%, while transportation was the biggest loser with 0.11%. In the domestic market, the BIST 100 index, which followed a buying trend yesterday in Borsa Istanbul, closed the day at 9,916.89 points with a 0.82% gain. In the global markets, there was a mixed trend due to concerns that President Donald Trump’s statements about expanding tariffs could deepen trade wars, with focus on the Federal Reserve Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes today. Analysts noted that technically, the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,950 and 10,000, with support levels at 9,900 and 9,800 points.
