The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a decrease of 0.08%, at 9,565.61 points. At the opening, the BIST 100 index dropped to 9,565.61 points, down by 7.60 points and 0.08% compared to the previous closing. While the banking index lost 0.36%, the holding index increased by 0.06%. Among sector indices, financial leasing factoring gained the most with 0.44%, while banking experienced the most significant loss.

In the domestic market, Borsa Istanbul followed an upward trend yesterday, with the BIST 100 index closing the day at 9,573.21 points, up by 1.29%. In the global markets, mixed movements were observed due to President Donald Trump’s statements on tariffs and Nvidia failing to meet high expectations with its financial results. Today, investors focus on the growth and core personal consumption expenditures price index data to be announced in the US.

Furthermore, Borsa Istanbul announced that the uptick rule in short selling transactions for shares included in the BIST 50 index will continue today. Analysts noted that technically, the support levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,500 and 9,400 points, with resistance levels at 9,600 and 9,700 levels.
