Stock market ended the day with an increase

The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 2.82 percent. The market closed the day at 9,299.36 points. Compared to the previous closing, the BIST 100 index increased by 254.72 points, with a total trading volume of 183.4 billion Turkish lira. The banking index rose by 1.70 percent, while the holding index increased by 2.91 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation showed the highest gain with 5.51 percent, while financial leasing factoring recorded the most significant loss with 0.67 percent. Internationally, the market continued to seek direction amidst uncertainties surrounding the US administration’s tariff policies, focusing on a busy data agenda. Analysts pointed out that tomorrow, the domestic real sector confidence index and capacity utilization rate, as well as Japan Central Bank (BoJ) meeting minutes, new home sales in the US, Ifo business confidence index, consumer confidence index, Richmond Fed manufacturing index, and Germany’s Ifo business confidence index will be closely monitored. From a technical perspective, they noted that the BIST 100 index has resistance at 9,300 and 9,400 points, with support at 9,100 and 9,000 levels.
