The founder of Apple, Steve Jobs’ bow tie was sold for a record price of $35,750. Jobs wore the pink and green striped bow tie in 1984 when introducing the Macintosh computer. Jobs also wore the pink and green striped bow tie at the International Design Conference, jokingly saying, “They paid me $60, and I wore a bow tie.” According to Business Insider, the bow tie was expected to be sold for a maximum of $2,000. It was reported that 27 people made offers to purchase Jobs’ bow tie. Apple’s founder’s black turtleneck sweaters and old business cards were also put up for auction.
