Statement from Vice President Yılmaz on retirement bonuses

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced that the retirement bonus increase will not be on the agenda of the Economic Coordination Council. Millions of retirees are eagerly awaiting news on the increase in holiday bonuses. There were speculations that the retirement holiday bonus would be discussed at the Economic Coordination Council meeting on February 21st. However, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz clarified that the retirement bonus increase will not be discussed at the Economic Coordination Council (ECC) meeting. Answering questions from the press before the AK Party Group Meeting, Yılmaz stated, “The retirement increase will not be on the agenda at the ECC meeting. This meeting is focused on regional development.” This year, holiday bonuses will be deposited into accounts in March and June. Last year, holiday bonuses were increased to 3,000 Turkish liras, resulting in a total payment of 6,000 liras to retirees.
