Sharp decline in the stock market: The highlights of the week

The Istanbul Stock Exchange ended the week with a 2.79% decline. The biggest loser of the week was Alfa Solar with a decrease of approximately 15%. Aksa Akrilik, on the other hand, provided the highest return.
The BIST 100 index on the Istanbul Stock Exchange completed the week with a 2.79% loss, closing at 9,602.16 points. During the week, the index reached its lowest point at 9,474.03 and its highest at 9,953.91 points. Meanwhile, the financial index on the Istanbul Stock Exchange decreased by 1.07% to 11,485.05 points, the services index experienced a 3.25% loss at 9,699.56 points, the industrial index dropped by 3.12% to 12,117.22 points, and the technology index rose by 1.11% to 14,260.77 points.
TOP PERFORMING STOCK
Among the shares included in the BIST 100 index on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, the top gainer this week was Aksa Akrilik with a 14.59% increase. Following Aksa Akrilik, Margun Enerji rose by 7.45% and Bera Holding by 5.82%.
WEEK’S LOSING STOCKS
The biggest losers among the mentioned shares were Alfa Solar Enerji with a 14.49% decrease, TAV Havalimanları with a 10.38% drop, and Çimsa Çimento with a 10.13% decline.
The most valuable companies with shares traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange were Garanti BBVA with 537 billion 600 million liras, Turkish Airlines with 426 billion 765 million liras, and Koç Holding with 381 billion 906 million liras.
