Salmon Export Surpasses $84 Million

Turkey’s 3-month salmon export reached $84,406,690. According to the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB) data, Turkish salmon raised in cages in the Black Sea after reaching a certain weight in inland fish farms found buyers in 20 countries during the period of January to March. In the first quarter of the year, Turkey exported 11,899 tons of salmon, generating a revenue of $84,406,690. During this period, the Russian Federation, the United States, and Japan were the top three countries where Turkish salmon was exported. In the period of January to March, Turkey exported $74,037,993 worth of salmon to the Russian Federation, $2,382,754 worth to the United States, and $1,233,111 worth to Japan. Unlike the first quarter of the previous year, Azerbaijan also received Turkish salmon exports during this period.
