The retirement holiday bonus is increasing, and the rate of increase will be clear tomorrow. It is expected that the bonus, which is currently 3,000 liras, will increase to 4,000 liras with a 33% increase. The final decision on the increase in the holiday bonus for millions of retirees will be made in the new week. A legal regulation is required for the increase in retirement bonuses. If a decision is made on the rate of increase in the new week, the regulation is expected to be sent to the Presidency of the Parliament. Retirees receive bonuses for Ramadan and Eid al-Adha every year. This year, holiday bonuses will also be paid in March and June. The economic management came together during the week to discuss the increase in the holiday bonus for retirees. Impact analyses were evaluated for three different scenarios of increase prepared by bureaucrats from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. Currently, the budget cost of the 6,000 lira bonus given to retirees for two holidays is 99 billion liras. If the bonus is increased to 4,000 liras, there will be an additional cost of 34.5 billion liras. Approximately 16 million retirees will benefit from the regulation, and those who become eligible for retirement as of March 1 will also receive the holiday bonus.
