With the arrival of the Ramadan month, millions of retirees have turned their attention to bonuses. Those receiving widow and orphan pensions can benefit from bonuses based on share percentages, while SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund retirees, as well as champion athletes, elderly pensioners, civilians affected by terrorism, and many other beneficiaries will benefit from the Ramadan Bayram bonus payment. There is no application screen for Retirement Bayram bonus payments. Retirement bonuses will be transferred to accounts through banks where retirement pensions are received. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security, along with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, are working on bonus payments. Possible bonuses have been calculated individually according to the inflation rates. So, how much will Retirement Bayram bonuses be in 2025? Here are the developments on Retirement Bayram bonuses… Ramadan Bayram will begin this year on March 30th. Retirement bonus payments will be transferred to accounts before the 3-day holiday. Last year, bonuses were increased by 50% to reach 3,000 Lira. Retirement bonuses are deposited before both Ramadan and Eid al-Adha. While the increases in January for SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund retirees were 15.75%, retirees are focusing on bonus rate increases. Since there was only one increase per year in past periods, it is expected that bonuses will increase by more than 15.75%. Calculations were made individually based on the possible increase rates of 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%. Here are the calculations for Retirement Bayram bonus increases… In previous years, retirement bonuses were deposited into accounts at most 1 week before the holiday began. This year, retirement bonuses are expected to be deposited into accounts between March 24-28, 2025. Retirement Bayram bonuses will be deposited through banks based on the last digit of the allocation number. While an increase of more than 15% is expected in Retirement Bayram bonuses, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance continues its work on bonus increases. A specific rate for the increase has not been announced by authorities yet. After the rate is determined, the bonus will be discussed in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and if approved, it will come into effect with the signature of President Erdoğan. If the increase rate is the same as the January increase rate (15.75%), Retirement Bayram bonuses will be 3,472 Lira. Considering inflation, if there is a similar increase to last year (2024), bonuses will be increased by 50% and rise to 4,500 Lira. In case of a 40% increase, bonuses will rise by 1,200 Lira to reach 4,200 Lira. The exact rate of increase will be determined after the study is completed. Retirees from SSK, Bağ-Kur, Retirement Fund, along with new retirees who qualify for retirement before the holiday, will receive bonuses. Elderly pensioners can receive bonuses, while those receiving widow and orphan pensions will benefit from payments according to their share percentage. For example, those who receive 70% of the retirement bonus from widow’s pension will receive the same percentage of the bonus while those who receive 30% from the death pension will benefit from the bonus according to this share. Bonus payments will be made to those receiving duty disability pension, disability pension, death pension, continuous disability income, martyr’s relatives, veterans, combatant veterans, security guards, champion athletes, civilians affected by terrorism.
