In Amasya, the lifeless body of 69-year-old retired police officer İsmail Aylak was discovered in the Yeşilırmak River.

In the Ataşehir area of Ellibeşevler neighborhood in Amasya, individuals who noticed an motionless person on the surface of the water in Yeşilırmak River around 11:00 am, reported it to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Police, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), health, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area. The underwater search and rescue teams affiliated with Amasya Municipality Fire Department retrieved the lifeless body of the person, who was identified to be retired police officer İsmail Aylak (69), to the shore.

Following the examination, the lifeless body of the retired police officer İsmail Aylak was taken to the morgue of Amasya University Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin Training and Research Hospital. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
