Removal of 60 Thousand Tanker Traffic

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Uraloğlu, announced that approximately 60 thousand tankers will be removed from the traffic in Antalya with a new pipeline. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they have constructed a new pipeline within Antalya Airport to transport aircraft fuel in order to strengthen the investments made as part of the Antalya Airport Expansion Project. Minister Uraloğlu noted that this pipeline has been integrated into the pipeline belonging to the Ministry of National Defense’s ANT Directorate. “We have constructed a new pipeline within the airport area to transport aircraft fuel from the seaport to Antalya Airport. The pipeline extends directly to the hydrants inside the terminal. This allows us to refuel the aircraft much faster, safer, and more efficiently,” said Minister Uraloğlu. “ANTALYA TRAFFIC WILL EASE” Minister Uraloğlu underscored that this project is a strategic gain for Antalya and stated the following in his announcement: “We are removing the annual traffic of approximately 60 thousand tankers entering and exiting between the seaport and Antalya Airport from the highways. Thus, we are easing the traffic in Antalya, increasing road safety, and reducing environmental pollution.” “NEW TERMINAL BUILDINGS OPENING TODAY” Minister Uraloğlu also mentioned that the opening of the new terminal buildings implemented as part of the Antalya Airport Expansion Project will be carried out today by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He stated, “We are expanding the international terminal to 224 thousand square meters and the domestic terminal to 75 thousand square meters. The annual passenger capacity of our airport will reach 82 million.”
