Record Break in Collective Bargaining: Worker Salary Reaches 102,000 TL

The Petrol İş Union Gebze Branch signed a collective bargaining agreement at the Bayer Turkish Chemical plant. As a result of the agreement, the net salaries of workers exceeded 100,000 TL. Bayer Turkish Chemical company, which operates in Kocaeli, reached an agreement with the Petrol İş Union Gebze Branch for a collective bargaining agreement. With this agreement, the average net salary of workers at the factory increased to 102,000 TL, reaching a total monthly income of 176,000 TL including social benefits, as reported by the Kocaeli Newspaper. The collective bargaining agreement at Bayer Turkish Chemical, where the Petrol İş Union Gebze Branch is organized, was signed at the union’s headquarters. The meeting was attended by union and employer representatives.
In a statement regarding the signed CBA process, Petrol İş Union Gebze Branch President Şivan Kırmızıçiçek stated, “In the new period, we signed our contract with the satisfaction of our members. The result is as follows; the base salary averages 102,000 TL, while the total of the social package is 176,000 TL.” Kırmızıçiçek mentioned that the collective bargaining agreement covers the next two years.
