The proposal to increase retirement bonuses from 3 thousand lira to 4 thousand lira was approved by the Planning and Budget Committee. With the law passing, holiday bonuses will be paid as 4,000 lira during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha. The one thousand lira increase in holiday bonuses is estimated to create an additional cost of 28.4 billion lira in the 2025 budget. It is expected that 15.5 million retirees will benefit from this regulation. When will the holiday bonuses be deposited? The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, announced that the 4,000 lira bonus will start to be transferred to accounts as soon as it passes through the Parliament. SSI, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund bonuses will be paid on different days according to the allocation number. This year, payments are expected to be deposited in accounts between March 24-28.
