Prices Revealed for Iftar Menus

With only a few days left until the month of Ramadan, the prices for food packages and iftar menus have been determined. Industry representatives announced that food packages will range from 3,500 to 4,000 lira. Meanwhile, iftar menus starting at 380 lira may go up to one thousand lira.
As the beginning of Ramadan approaches, various sectors, including the ready-made food industry, are expected to become more active with the start of the holy month on March 1 next week. The usual rush seen in the afternoons of other months is expected to shift to the time of iftar. Industry representatives have pointed out that they will try to compensate for the loss of lunchtime meals with Ramadan food packages and iftar tent meals, expressing expectations especially from local governments and charitable tent owners.
HOW MUCH WILL RAMADAN FOOD PACKAGES COST?
Hüseyin Bozdağ, President of the Turkish Food Industry Associations Federation (YESİDEF), stated that the price of Ramadan food packages will range from 3,500 to 4,000 lira per month. These special Ramadan packages will consist of various items that can be consumed throughout the month, from flour to oil, and from pasta to rice.
HERE ARE THE PRICES FOR IFTAR MENUS
Bozdağ also provided information regarding special iftar menus for Ramadan. Normally priced at 150-200 lira for 4 dishes, with appetizers, they will be offered in the range of 380-420 lira. Prices for delivery services will go up to 550-600 lira. As for iftar meals served at tables in tents or gardens, menu prices may go up to 650-1000 lira. The menus will include soup, a main meat dish, rice, dessert, local drinks, and appetizers.
