Prada is nearing the end of negotiations to acquire Versace for 1.5 billion euros. The luxury fashion giant Prada is close to finalizing talks with Capri Holdings to purchase Versace. According to Bloomberg, if the deal goes through, Prada will pay 1.5 billion euros (1.6 billion dollars) for Versace. It is reported that Prada and Capri could reach an agreement for Versace in March. Prada also owns brands like Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors. Initial discussions between the two companies have been positive, but there is a possibility that the timing of the deal or the value of the company could change, and that the negotiations might not be successful. Capri Holdings acquired Versace for 1.83 billion euros in 2018. Miuccia Prada, the owner of the Italian company, stated last week that numerous fashion companies have shown interest in potentially acquiring Versace.
