The Department of Defense of the United States (Pentagon) has announced the initiation of a new program called “Thunderforge” to enhance the potential of artificial intelligence technology in military strategies.

The program aims for AI-supported “agents” to swiftly and effectively process large amounts of data, taking on crucial roles in military planning and operations.

REAL-TIME INFORMATION PROVIDING CAPACITY

The Thunderforge program seeks to expedite battlefield analyses using artificial intelligence to enable commanders to operate more effectively in decision-making processes. Through this program, AI agents can analyze and interpret vast datasets to provide commanders with real-time information. In the initial phase of the program, it has been indicated that Thunderforge will be implemented in the Indo-Pacific Command and European Command regions of the US.
