Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, announced that a credit facility of 6.25 billion lira will be provided for young entrepreneurs.

Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, commented on the New Support Package for Young Entrepreneurs prepared in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Emphasizing the ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurs within the economic program framework, Şimşek stated that they effectively utilized the Treasury-backed guarantee system to increase young entrepreneurs’ access to financing under favorable conditions. Those below the age of 35 will benefit from this initiative.

In this context, Minister Şimşek informed that the Ministry will provide guarantee support within the scope of the credit source to be provided to banks by EBRD. He stated, “Through cooperation with EBRD, our young entrepreneurs will be supported with a credit facility of 6.25 billion lira against 5 billion lira in guarantees provided by the Credit Guarantee Fund. This support aims to enable young people to establish successful businesses, grow these businesses, and access the necessary resources, consultancy, and training.”

Şimşek also mentioned that under the support package, the guarantee upper limit per beneficiary will be 85 million lira, and the guarantee rate will be 80%. He stated, “Companies with owners and/or managers under the age of 35 who meet certain conditions will be eligible to benefit from the support package.”
