Officialization of Maternity Assistance! An applicant mother will receive 5,000 TL for 60 months as child benefit

According to the decision published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Erdoğan; maternity assistance will be provided for children born this year and thereafter if an application is made.
Maternity assistance valid for children born within the scope of the 2025 Year of Family has been formalized.
To increase the declining rate of young population in Turkey, maternity assistance will be provided for children born on and after January 1, 2025.
A one-time 5,000 TL payment will be made for the first child, 1,500 TL monthly until the child reaches the age of 5 (up to the sixtieth month) for the second child starting from the month the application is made, and 5,000 TL monthly until the child reaches the age of 5 (up to the sixtieth month) for the third child and subsequent children starting from the month the application is made.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be authorized to increase the amounts. Payments will be made from the Social Solidarity and Assistance Fund. Maternity assistance will be paid without being subject to any taxes or deductions, and cannot be seized. In case recipients of maternity assistance make false declarations leading to unwarranted payments, the payments will need to be refunded with interest calculated at the delay penalty rate specified in Article 51 of Law No. 6183, taking into account the period from the date of payment to the date of recovery. The institution making payments to the unjustly benefiting recipient will notify them in writing. If the payment is not made within this period, the receivables will be reported to the relevant tax office for follow-up and collection in accordance with the provisions of the Law.
HOW TO APPLY FOR MATERNITY ASSISTANCE? Maternity Assistance applications are made in person, by registered mail with return receipt or cargo after the child is registered in the Identity Sharing System (KPS) at the relevant civil registry office following the live birth, and the “Maternity Assistance Application Form” is completed and signed. Applications are made to Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services or Social Service Centers. Regardless of status (including those employed through service procurement), personnel employed by public institutions apply to the institution where they work. Applications of those living abroad are received by Embassies and Consulates. If those living abroad are in Turkey, they can apply to any Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services or Social Service Center.
