A new regulation to increase traffic fines is being prepared. According to information received, AK Party members, led by Group President Abdullah Güler, have started preparing a draft law containing amendments to increase the lower and upper limits of administrative fines given to those who do not comply with traffic rules. With the draft, administrative fines for those who speed excessively, violate red lights, change lanes improperly, and do not follow turning rules will be raised.

Currently, those exceeding the speed limit are fined between 2,167 lira and 9,267 lira. Those who violate red lights and lanes are fined 2,167 lira, while those who do not follow turning and passing rules are fined 993 lira.
