New Record Expected in Tourism

There has been a 20% increase in early bookings from abroad in Turkish tourism. Experts stated that this indicates that new records will be broken in tourism.
The early booking period continues to enable vacationers to have holidays at their desired resorts at more reasonable prices during the summer months. Mehmet İşler, Vice President of the Turkey Hoteliers Federation, emphasized that despite Germany and Russia being the most important markets, Turkey has become a country that shares a part in tourism from all around the world. İşler pointed out that Turkey aims to raise the daily income per tourist to the range of 120-130 dollars. He noted, “Currently, there is a 15-20% increase in early bookings nationwide compared to the same month last year. We foresee that the continuity of this reservation flow will increase even more. This is a pleasing development. In the Aegean Region, we see this rate in the 10% range. We started in 2024 with this band.”
The news of the increase, especially from Germany, as the tourism sector approaches 2025, has made the sector extremely happy and excited. We already anticipate that 2025 will be a record year for Turkish tourism, as it is every year. Effect of Turkey’s success in foreign policy İşler indicated that tourists appreciate tranquility, stating, “One of the most important factors in breaking records is the peaceful atmosphere around our country at the moment, Turkey’s successful direction of foreign policy, and most importantly, being a safe, peaceful, and tranquil country.” He said, “Turkish tourism is not only about sun, sea, and sand, it also writes epics in health tourism, highland tourism, culture, and gastronomy. Our goal for the year 2030 is 100 billion dollars in economic input and 100 million tourists. It seems like our country will reach this goal in 2028.”
