New Era Begins for Second-Hand Vehicle and Real Estate Listings

The electronic listing verification system for both real estate and vehicle ads is set to be implemented starting today.
The Ministry of Commerce had launched the electronic listing verification system back in February. The regulation mandated that car dealers must have an authorization certificate to post ads, and they were given a two-month period until April 1st to obtain these certificates.
TWO-MONTH GRACE PERIOD HAS ENDED
The two-month transition period has come to an end. A new era begins for vehicle listings. The requirement for an authorization certificate for car dealers will now only apply to vehicles from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 model years starting from April. The mandate will be in effect for all vehicle listings starting from June 2nd.
SALES THROUGH LISTING SITES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED
An authorization certificate is not necessary for those who want to sell their own vehicles. The sale can also be handled by first and second-degree relatives of the vehicle owner. However, anyone else will not be able to sell the vehicle through listing sites. The electronic listing verification system had been introduced not only for vehicles but also for real estate listings. The system, which became mandatory for rental listings on January 1st, will also apply to sales listings starting from April 7th. From this date onward, only individuals authorized by property owners through e-Government will be able to post sales listings.
