The Central Bank’s new 100 and 10 lira banknotes were released today. The Central Bank’s decision on the new banknotes was published in the Official Gazette. According to this, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will put into circulation the 100 TL of the E9 Issuance Group VI. order and the 10 TL of the VII. order starting from today. The new banknotes will feature the signatures of CBRT President Dr. Fatih Karahan, Vice President Prof. Dr. Hatice Karahan on the 100 TL banknotes, and Vice President Dr. Osman Cevdet Akçay on the 10 TL banknotes, along with other officials. These banknotes will be completely identical to the previous denominations in terms of their sizes, front and back designs, and overall appearance, except for the signatures. The new series of banknotes will coexist with the previous series in circulation.
