Negative trend in Borsa Istanbul

BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul decreased by 0.71% to 9,409 points in the first half of the day.
Moving in a downward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index fell to 9,409 points with a decrease of 67.67 points and 0.71% by 13:00. The total trading volume was 35.4 billion Turkish liras. The banking index lost 1.2%, while the holding index fell by 0.4%. Among sector indices, financial leasing factoring gained the most with 2.72%, while securities investment trust lost the most with 1.98%. Uncertainties increased about the course of economic tension between the US and China in global markets following the US administration’s latest tariff move against China. Investors are focused on tariff-related news flow and the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes to be announced by the US Federal Reserve today. Analysts noted that the domestic data agenda is calm today, while in the foreign markets, the focus will be on the Fed meeting minutes and wholesale stock data in the US. From a technical perspective, it was stated that 9,350 and 9,250 points are support levels, and 9,500 and 9,600 levels are resistance levels in the BIST 100 index.
