Natural gas prices remain unchanged

BOTAŞ announced that there would be no changes in natural gas sales prices as of March. The Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) stated that there would be no changes in the sales tariff for natural gas used by residential and industrial subscribers as well as for gas used in electricity production as of March. According to the tariff table published on BOTAŞ’s website, the tariff for residential and industrial subscribers as well as for electricity production in March remained unchanged. Therefore, the sales price that BOTAŞ will apply to distribution companies for residential consumers in March was announced as 5,631 Turkish Lira for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas. The tariff for bread producers was set at 8,549 Turkish Lira for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas. The price of 1000 cubic meters of natural gas in the tariff for electricity production was announced as 12,000 Turkish Lira. Price tariffs for natural gas are calculated monthly. The announcement on the institution’s website stated, “When based on the Household Energy Price Index (HEPI), the lowest natural gas price among European countries is implemented in our country after Ukraine.”
