Motorcycles outnumber cars in 5 provinces

In Turkey, the number of registered motorcycles exceeded that of cars in five provinces. Manisa had the highest difference between motorcycles and cars. As of February, the number of registered motorcycles in Turkey reached a record level of 6,329,732, surpassing the number of cars in Aydın, Kilis, Manisa, Muğla, and Iğdır. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), as of last month, the number of motor vehicles registered in traffic in Turkey was determined as follows: 16,405,235 cars, 526,102 minibuses, 214,230 buses, 4,738,370 vans, 1,006,568 trucks, 6,329,732 motorcycles, 103,524 special-purpose vehicles, 2,272,761 tractors, totaling 31,596,522. Istanbul had the highest number of motorcycles with 811,333, followed by Antalya with 498,237, and Izmir with 470,164. Ardahan had the lowest number of motorcycles with a total of 951, followed by Tunceli with 1,539, Hakkari with 1,568, and Bitlis with 1,773. In Kilis, the number of motorcycles tripled compared to cars, with 13,370 cars and 38,431 registered motorcycles. In Aydın, there were 227,947 cars compared to 228,601 motorcycles, in Manisa 263,306 cars compared to 302,690 motorcycles, in Muğla 267,341 cars compared to 289,104 motorcycles, and in Iğdır 7,782 cars compared to 11,643 motorcycles registered in traffic.
