Mackolik Fined 13 Million Lira by Competition Board

The Competition Board imposed an administrative fine of approximately 13 million lira on Mackolik for two separate violations.
The Competition Board decided to impose about 13 million lira in administrative fines on Mackolik Internet Services Inc. for two separate violations. The Competition Authority found that the company violated competition law by imposing customer restrictions on advertising agencies that are buyers under advertising and service sales agreements.
As a result of the decision, the company was fined 7,422,998 lira. Additionally, it was noted that the company abused its dominant position by discriminating against businesses operating in online video advertising and referral services markets, as well as in the online fixed odds betting industry.
In this context, an administrative fine of 5,567,248 lira was also imposed.
